out and about

We managed to dock ok despite the accident.

I got escort duty on a tour of Tromso.

So I had to carry a bag of bits fill in forms and help count people in and out. 

I met the guide whose name was Boris originally from Colognes but lived here many years.

We set off on a tour which is a bit weird. It's pitch black and snowing. So the scenery is.. limited.

However we drove along listening to Boris giving us facts and stories about Tromso.

We tried to get to lake but the roads turned out to be too impassable.

So we went back into Tromso which is actually a collection of islands. We crossed bridges and navigated a series of tunnels.

The we stopped at the artic cathedral which isn't actually a cathedral but just a church.

The acces was up a bit very steep path, but covered in snow and limited grit. It was probably 20m long but quite slippy. Still all those that wanted to made it.

We returned with all those we set off with and I filled out all the paperwork.

Now I  have a beer and book on the go.
